Abstract
APHID is an easy-to-install and easy-to-use DocBook environment. With APHID, you can start working with DocBook XML documents right away. APHID allows you to create articles and books and transform them from one single source to multiple output formats like XML, HTML, HTML Help, or PDF. No in-depth knowledge of DocBook, XML, XSL, HTML or CSS is required. APHID is a derivative work of eDE (http://www.e-novative.de).
What is APHID?
With APHID, you can transform text and DocBook XML documents from a single source to various output formats, including a single HTML file, multiple HTML files, and PDF. The well-documented parameterization and customization of the original DocBook XSL stylesheets make understanding DocBook and working customizing it to your personal needs really simple. APHID allows you to cutomize general, document-type, and document-specific settings and stylesheets. The command-line interface and ANT-driven framework allow for easy automation of document generation.
APHID is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). For detailed information about the license terms, see the file COPYING located in the directory where you installed APHID.
Comments and suggestions for improving APHID are most welcome.
